2017 SRIA Summit

The inauguration of Silk Road International Association (SRIA) on June 17th, 2017


On June 17-18th, 2017, the Silk Road International Association (SRIA) Inaugural Meeting and 1st Summit was held in China, exploring new opportunities and challenges, interconnectivity in industry, trade and finance, new order and co-operative network of the Silk Road. Han Seung-soo, IFF co-chairman, former prime minister of the Republic of Korea and president of the 56th session of the U.N. General Assembly was appointed as chairman of SRIA; Shaukat Aziz, IFF co-chairman and former prime minister of Pakistan and Jenny Shipley, IFF Board member and former prime minister of New Zealand were announced as SRIA co-chairs. Other attendees include Gu Shengzu - deputy director of the Financial and Economic Committee of NPC; Zhou Hanmin - vice chairman of Shanghai CPPCC; Zhou Yanli - former vice chairman of China Insurance Regulatory Commission; Tu Guangshao - general manager of China Investment; He Yafei - former vice minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the first Chinese G20 coordinator with over 100 representatives of financial institutions and central enterprises. Jin Liqun - president of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), and Ban Ki-moon–the 8th U.N. secretary-general sent congratulatory letters.
